Karen Ouimet

Karen Ouimet, 68, of Westfield passed away on April 14, 2023. She was born in Jacksonville, NC to the late Clarence and Constance Avery. Karen was a hair dresser for several years and loved having her hair and nails done. She had a heart of gold and was kind to every person she met. She enjoyed being out side in the sun and loved to be at the beach tanning. Karen loved to travel, she spent many summers on her family’s boat in Cape Cod and she loved to visit Key West in Florida. Karen will be greatly missed by her husband of 47 years Francis Ouimet. She leaves behind her step children, Douglas and Mary Ouimet of Agawam, David and Kimberly Ouimet of Granby, and Donna Donah of Henderson NV. Karen also leaves behind her siblings, Cathy Cooley of West Springfield, Lisa Cross of West Springfield, Laura Gagnier of Agawam, Carol Barcz of Chicopee, and Colin Avery of West Springfield. Karen is predeceased by her sisters Connie and Linda. Calling hours for Karen will be held Wednesday April 19, 2023 from 4:00-6:00PM at Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield MA. Karen’s funeral mass will be Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11AM at St. Thomas Church with burial to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
