Katherine A Kelly

Katherine A. (Dunn) Kelly passed away peacefully after receiving Last Rites with her children by her side on February 10, 2024. Kathy was born in Stamford, CT, March 24, 1941, to the late Charles and Katherine (Finneran) Dunn. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford, and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, then her Master’s from Fairfield University. Her career in education spanned three decades, and at the time of her retirement she served as principal of St. Louis School in Webster, MA. In her youth she loved to travel, play tennis, and spend time with family and friends. Her wit and sense of humor were unmatched, and her laugh was infectious and unforgettable. She will be remembered as a loving, faithful, and devoted wife, and mother, and most especially as a Nana to her “first loves,” her grandchildren. She leaves her loving children, John Kelly, and his wife Amanda of Clinton; her daughter, Elizabeth Henke, and her husband Troy of West Springfield; her loving grandchildren Joseph, Katherine, Evelyn, and Lauren Henke; and nieces and nephews Michael, Lisa, Thomas, Katherine, Robert, Eileen, Kelly, Sheila, Alicia, and Audrey. Her beloved husband of 41 years, Joseph, died in 2020. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Robert, sister-in-law, Patricia, and nephews, James, and Patrick. Katherine’s Funeral Mass will be Friday February 16, 2024, at 11:30 AM at St Thomas Church 47 Pine St West Springfield.
