Kathleen F. (Bowler) Swords

Kathleen F. Swords, 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Florida Hospital Flager. She was born October 11, 1928 in Holyoke, daughter of Michael and Hannah (Brennan) Bowler. She was a lifelong resident of Holyoke until 2002 when she moved to Washington State to be closer to her son, then in 2009 she moved to Palm Coast, FL where her daughter resides. During her working years she was a medical transcriber for almost 20 years at Holyoke Hospital. Kathleen enjoyed reading, watching TV and had a great love of animals. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund F. Swords in 1981. She is survived by her daughter Beth Anne Farnsworth of Palm Coast, FL and her son Edmund F. Swords Jr. of Bedford, NH. There will be a Funeral Home Service, Friday, 12:00pm, at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld., followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday evening from 7:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.
