Kathleen A Riley

Kathleen (Polon) Riley, 70, of West Springfield, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13th at Baystate Medical Center. Kathy was born in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur Polon and Constance (Gillette) Mulcahy and her husband Joseph Mulcahy. Kathy was a graduate of the Western Mass Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as an LPN at Mercy Hospital, Wesson Memorial Hospital and retired from the former Country Estates of Agawam after many years of service. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick “Pat” Riley. Kathy leaves behind her loving sons, Adam and his wife Danielle of Feeding Hills along with Daniel and his wife Kristie of Windsor, CT, her best friend and sister Eileen Giroux and her husband Phil of Hampden, MA and her four amazing grandchildren, Brennan, Lillian, Lucille and Harrison. She will be missed by her many cousins, especially Joyce, her many brothers and sisters in law as well as her niece and nephews. Kathy loved spending time with her closest friends Linda and Gail as well as her dogs Lem and Molly. Calling hours will be Monday, September 23rd from 10am-12pm immediately followed by a funeral service at 12pm at the West Springfield Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home with the burial being held at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
