Kayel G. DeAngelis, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family. A proud member of the Army Reserves, Kayel, along with his brother, manufactured and sold custom furniture in NY for many years. He loved living life to it’s fullest, from having a horse farm to driving his pontoon boat on the lake in NH. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Lisa (Valvo) DeAngelis, daughter Kristine DeAngelis-Lubanski and her husband Michael and their children; James and Sara Lubanski of Port Washington, NY, son Kayel Guy DeAngelis and his fiancé Piera Asaro and his children; Ava and Julia DeAngelis of Oyster Bay, NY and step sons; Joshua DuBois of West Springfield and Timothy DuBois and his wife Bernadette of Gardner, MA and brother Kenneth DeAngelis of CA. Family and friends may meet for Kayel’s Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield. A private family burial will take place in Hawthorne, NY at a later date. Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
