Laura (Smola) Pettazzoni

West Springfield, Laura M (Smola) Petazzoni, 95, passed away Thursday January 28, 2016, at Country Estates in Agawam surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, March 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Helen (Prokova) Smola. Laura lived most of her life in West Springfield and was a communicant of St Thomas Church. She was a member of the Polish National Association and was a very proud Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who loved to travel. Her husband, Godfrey H. Pettazzoni passed away in 1990. She leaves her loving children, John and his wife Sally of Lynnfield ,MA, Robert and his wife Susan of Feeding Hills, Sandra O�Dea of Agawam, and Patricia Mills of Eastham, her loving sister, Stella Soja of Wilbraham, 8 beloved grandchildren and 17 beloved great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son in law, Paul O�Dea. The funeral will be held Monday 11am from the St Thomas Church with calling hours from 9:00-10:30 at the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield. Burial will follow in St Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St Thomas School 47 Pine St West Springfield, MA.
