It is with immeasurable sorrow that Sandra and Paul Seymour of West Springfield share the passing of their daughter, Lindsay K. (Waterman) Trask, 38 of West Springfield who passed away at Baystate Medical Center on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from complications from pneumonia. Lindsay was born in Springfield on January 15, 1987, and graduated from West Springfield High School and attended both STCC and Bay Path University before graduating from Branford Hall in Springfield as a Medical Assistant. Lindsay worked as a dialysis technician at Fresenius Kidney Care of Pioneer Valley, as a medical assistant at Pediatric Associates of Hampden County, and as a landscape designer at Eastern States Exposition. She also worked for several years in the family business, Western Growers in West Springfield, pulling and shipping orders and designing landscape beds and holiday décor for their many clients including the Big-E, Six-Flags, The City of Springfield, and Forest Park.

Lindsay had many talents including floral and landscape design which were evident every season at Western Growers. In Addition, Lindsay was a gifted dog handler; she piloted many dogs to their championship and beyond, including not only Piperbrook Irish Setters but those of her many clients. In her spare time, she loved bicycling, hiking, drawing, and coloring, and the movies. Lindsay was kindhearted and playful and loved being a goofball. She had a special connection to animals; she loved them and they loved her back.

After years of struggling with addiction, she and her family were so Proud to have her clean and sober believing that would lead her to an easier path in life. Lindsay was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Trask, just two years ago; her maternal and parental grandparents; her uncle, Glen Seymour; and her heart dogs Morgan, Lucy, and Rocky. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two stepsons who she loved dearly, Andrew and Cody Trask of West Springfield. She also leaves her godparents, Lynn and John Prendergast; her special aunt, Kathy Waterman (her other mother); her aunt Michelle Jarvis and husband David; her uncle George Seymour and wife Betty; her sister, Lauren Wheeler and husband A.J. of Southwick; her brother Christopher Seymour and husband Steve of Northampton; and her brother Alex Seymour and wife Erica of Westfield. Lindsay also leaves nephews and a niece and many cousins, especially Tracey, John, and Meghan. Calling hours will be Thursday (11/6) from 4-6 PM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. There will be a Funeral Home Service on Friday (11/7) at 11 AM and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
