Loida Burnett of Westfield Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2025. She was a devoted, beloved mother and grandmother who brightened the lives of many. Born on July 8, 1944, Loida was a strong and fearless woman. Predeceased by both her parents, her older sister, and her younger sister at a very young age she bravely left the Philippines to seek a new life and future across the world. She worked diligently each and every day with unwavering determination yet remained humble and kind despite the most difficult circumstances. Loida was an extraordinarily unique and brilliant woman, with a profound intuition for seeing into the hearts and minds of those around her; and those that knew her loved her deeply for it. Loida was a thoughtful, funny, generous and truly altruistic person, but her most defining trait was that she did not covet wealth or status, but instead cherished love and family above all else. No one was more important to her than her children and grandchildren and she demonstrated her devotion through her actions throughout her entire life. Loida was a selfless person who aways put her loved ones first no matter how difficult the circumstances. She will be greatly missed, beyond words.
Loida is survived by her loving children: Jason Burnett and his life partner Emily, Gina Andia and Jessica Andia. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Sophia, Chloe and Wyatt. Family and friends are invited to honor Loida at a Celebration of Life on Sunday August 10, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Toomey O' Brien Funeral Home located at 1043 Westfield St in West Springfield, MA 01089.
