Lynn (Vickery) Lanczycki, 79, passed away January 21, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittsfield, September 29, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Herlihy) Vickery. Lynn was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a graduate of Marymount College in 1995 and was a communicant of St Thomas Church who worked in the early childhood education program at the St Thomas School. She was an avid sports enthusiast who loved the UConn Women’s Basketball Team and had a certain flair for fashion. She leaves her beloved husband, John J. Lanczycki, Jr., her loving sons, Christopher (and his wife Philippa) of Silver Springs, MD, Robert (and his wife Marianne) of Shrewsbury, NJ, John J. III (and his wife Melissa) of Torrington, CT and Stephen (and his wife Nicole) of Dover, MA, her beloved sisters, Charlene Campisi of Ocean Park, ME and Mary Jane Atwood of N. Kingston, RI, and her loving grandchildren, Kaylee, Harrison, Emily, Robert, Rachel and Matthew. The funeral mass will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11 AM from the St Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield, MA. Calling hours will be Friday January 28, 2022, from 3-6PM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield, MA.
The family respectfully requests face masks be worn during these events.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Thomas School or St Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield, MA 01089.
