Margaret A. Lavoie

Margaret “Peggy” A. Lavoie, 73, passed away Sun Feb 12, 2023. She was born on March 5, 1949 to the late Francis and Daisy Lavoie. Peggy worked as a paralegal in Boston for many years before moving back to Holyoke. While in Boston, she was an active member at the Paulist Center Community, where she helped run their Wednesday Night Supper Club and started and ran a Saturday Breakfast Program for 25 years. She was also a Paulist Associate. Peggy leaves her sister; Susan Lavoie of Holyoke and her brother Robert Lavoie and his wife Sandra of OH, her 2 nieces Heather Lavoie Burkey and her husband Ray and Kimberly Lavoie Achs and her husband Rick, her four great grandnieces and nephews; RJ and Alex Burkey and Haley and Kiersten Achs. Peggy also leaves her step-siblings Ricky, Janet and Dorothy Rickus. Family and Friends are invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 4 at 11 AM in St. Michael’s Cathedral, 260 State St., (parking lot is located behind the Cathedral off of Elliot St) Spfld, MA. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Chicopee. There are NO Calling Hours. The TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.
