Obituary
Margret I. (Blietschau) Eickelberg, 89, of West Springfield, passed away on Sunday, June 9th.  She was born in Remscheid, Germany, to the late Grete Blietschau.  Before moving to America at the age of 38, she worked as a seamstress and also became a talented ballroom dancer.  Having settled in Massachusetts with her family, she was a wonderful homemaker and loved spending time at family gatherings, cookouts, parties, and many days enjoying her children and grandchildren in the pool.  Margret was pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years, Rolf Eickelberg, whom she danced throughout her life with.  She leaves behind four children, Gabriela Beach and her companion Rocco D’Amato, Dagmar Pignatare and her husband Charlie, Rolf Eickelberg and his wife Leslie, and Andrea Callahan.  She adored her eight grandchildren, Erik Beach and his wife Christine, Kimberly Pendred and her husband Jay, Charlie Pignatare, Jamie Uliana and her husband Tim, Jeremy Eickelberg, Nicole Antonmarchi and her husband Luis, and Brianna and Daniel Callahan.  She also had ten beautiful great-grandchildren, Emily, Caleb, Charlie, Hunter, Ayden, Lucy, Cooper, Alex, Miller, and Luis.  Funeral Services will be Thursday 10:00 AM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld., followed by burial in Paucatuck Cemetery.  Visiting Hours will be held prior to the funeral, Thursday from 8:30 – 10:00 AM.
