West Springfield � Maria C (Sacheli) Spadoni, 96, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in West Springfield, Massachusetts. She was born on January 24,1920 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, Connecticut. Maria was the daughter of the late Diego and Anna (Rinaldi) Sacheli and the beloved wife of the late Nelio P Spadoni. Maria was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield, Massachusetts and a long term volunteer with the Springfield Chapter of the American Lung Association as well as a volunteer library aide with St. Thomas the Apostle School in West Springfield, MA. Maria attended school in Enfield, Connecticut and was a graduate of Enfield High School. She also graduated from the Connecticut School of Cosmetology. Maria worked alongside her husband Nelio in their business, Springfield Store Fixtures Co., Inc. as well as for several beauty salons in Enfield and Springfield, starting her career as a beautician at Fournier Beauty Parlor in Enfield. She is also retired from the former Bank of New England West in 1984 having worked many years in its Loan Operations unit. Maria is survived by her beloved daughter, Ann Synan and her husband Paul of West Springfield, MA, her beloved grandchildren, Lisa Synan of West Springfield, Kathleen Greges, and her husband Andrew and their sons, Landon and Brayden of Mahopac, NY and Michael Synan and his wife Stephanie of Boston, MA. She also leaves her siblings, Pauline Liucci and Salvatore Sacheli and his wife Dorothy, all of Enfield, Connecticut, her sister-in-law, Giuseppina Mandolini of California as well as her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Maria was predeceased by her brothers, Charles Sacheli and his wife Mary, James Sacheli and his wife Frances, her sister Anna Lauria and her husband Samuel and her brothers-in-law, Augusto Mandolini and Joseph Liucci, her nephews David and James Sacheli and niece Susan Sacheli Cohen. Maria�s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mercy Life�s PACE program for the care provided. Relatives and friends may gather at Toomey O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, on Saturday, December 3, 2016 for visitation from 9:30 � 10:30am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery in Springfield.
