West Springfield -Marilyn Lorraine Vallee of North Street entered into eternal life peacefully at home on December 24, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on October 28, 1936 in Springfield to the late Francis X. and Irene D. (Grenon) Meunier residing in Indian Orchard. She lived in the area her entire life and graduated from Classical High School in Springfield. Marilyn was a bank teller until her marriage to Edmond A. Vallee Jr. on June 13, 1959. They were married faithfully for 50 years until his death on September 20, 2009. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, crotchet and craft projects as a home maker while raising her children and managing the daily chores of the household. She served as Team Captain on her bowling league and was awarded with many trophies. Marilyn was an avid book reader and fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She was the devoted and loving mother to Jefferey J. Vallee of Chicopee, Suzanne M. Graziano and her husband Dr. Gary Graziano of Feeding Hills, and Denise L. Gousy and her husband Dr. Michael Gousy of East Longmeadow, caring sister to Francis X. J. Miller of Belleville, NJ.�She was the cherished grandmother to Maria, Vincent, Teresa, and Santina Graziano and Gregory and Nicole Gousy as well as aunt/great aunt to several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Kawar, her staff of nurses, Health Care Providers, those that work within the Infusion Suites and valet service at the Baystate D�Amour Center for Cancer in Springfield who assist patients with treatment. They always greeted us with dignity, respect and a warm smile which helped us to endure this life journey. Calling Hours will be from 9-11 AM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Toomey O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church and at 1 PM at the Massachusetts Veteran�s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
