West Springfield- Marion Ramah, 85, died peacefully on Jan. 7, surrounded by her family. Retired from a career as a journalist, Marion first worked as a writer at Woman magazine in her native London. She was later a writer and editor with the Westfield Evening News and was public relations director for Western Massachusetts Hospital for many years. A lover of art and music, she found joy in time spent with friends and loved ones, in her garden with the birds, a walk by the sea, or reading a good book. She leaves her children, Kate Stiles and husband Marc, Thomas Ramah and his partner Karen, and Marc Ramah; her grandson, Thomas J. Ramah, her granddaughters, Brooke Ramsdell and her husband Phil, and their three children, and Brittany Stevens and her husband, Derrick, and their son; her sisters, Pauline Shelborn, of England, and Eunice Cousins, of Australia, and their families; and a wealth of friends. There will be a Funeral Home Service 6:30 PM Wed. at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will precede the service Wed. from 5:00 PM � 6:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Friends of the Homeless, 755 Worthington St., Springfield, MA 01105.
