Agawam-Marjorie Genevieve West Caba, passed away on her chosen date of March 28, 2025. Marjorie was born on March 15, 1928 to Albert and Emma (Rabtor) West. She married Edward A Caba Sr on July 25, 1946. As she approached the pearly gates we are certain she summoned her posse for an airing of grievances those in attendance were her parents Albert and Emma West, her husband Edward A Caba Sr, her sisters Bertha Willy, Lena Royland, Linda Santillo, sister in law Rosalie West, her brothers Albert West Jr, Larry West, Donald West, her fave chit chatter Nancy Jarvis, her beloved niece Darlene Bottesini, her dance partner Harold West Jr, her favorite son Edward A Caba Jr., her neighbors Winnie Mastroianni and Odette Benjamin, her best friends Alice Chatel and Angelina Nicora and plenty of friends and family. The hope is she is now at peace with a continuous fountain of frappuccino’s, tiramisu and friendly fribbles. As the oldest sister of 20, She was the matriarch of the family and she fiercely loved all of them. Though she had a disdain for most women and a love for all men. Marge enjoyed all her time working with her coworkers at Food Mart, Romito’s and Main St Deli. Marjorie had a fierce loyalty for her favorite restaurants and servers over the years from American Classics and Sue, Friendlys with Ramon and Amy, Memos with Mary and Atlantic Grill with Charlie and Kylee, Il Porto and Coop to Waffle house with Geraldine. At 198 Walnut Street she looked forward to cooking for her family and loved as many people as she could fit into the house for home cooked meals, she always looked forward to lunch on the hill and the family picnics and parties over the years where she could dance her polkas. Marjorie lived her whole life in Westfield and Agawam but the last five years were in Maryland with her daughter Lu, grandaughter, great granddaughter, her partner in crime and her dog. She laughed and lived more in the past 5 years than she had in her life. She found her best friend Ava and learned tik tok dances and snap chat filters, loved when Emerson, Makayla and Vali would dance for her and loved to sit on the porch and watch the birds. She experienced her first hibachi, went to the beach and saw the cherry blossoms at the tidal basin. The people who loved her and put up with her that she leaves behind are her hairdresser who always had her back Rose Patterson, Dan Jarvis who supplied her with all the town chatter, her fave little people TJ and Ella, her niece Jeannie who always made sure she had a ride, her nephew Eric Bottesini who supplied an unknown supply of fribbles. Steve, Carolyn, Hannah, Zach and Brennan Jarvis whom she loved as family. She loved her game nights with the Randolph’s where she somehow always won at what do you meme. She had a daily routine that began with Big Valley and ended with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She supported her husband’s passion for the town of Agawam and also defended him fiercely. She will forever haunt the town in particular Richard Theroux the only people she liked less was Walgreens for tearing down Betty’s Townhouse. We will forever be grateful for the support of the people who cared for her including Sharon Beauchemin, Momma and Benjamin at MVHC, her savior Laura Butman, Maeve Frigon, fave firefighter Andrew Randolph, her fave hero Shauna Finch, her confidante Michelle Randolph, Tim and Michelle France and Alexa for whom she learned to use and let every neighbor know when she was awake or going to sleep by blasting her favorite tunes. Her family that she leaves earthside includes her sisters Therese West Madeira and Marilyn Starzyk, her brothers and their wives Hank (Ione), Kenneth (Sonya), Nelson (Diane), Raymond, Francis (Joanne) Ed (Gail), Jimmy (Joyce), Sister-in-law June Caba Lehrer and so many beloved nieces and nephews. Her partner and crime Christopher Jarvis. Her children Cheryl Polopek and Lucille Suprenant, daughter in law Lynn Caba and son-in-law Bob Polopek. Her beloved grandchildren Kristen, Edward (Amanda), Corey (Star) and Rebecca , her great grandchildren Diego, TJ, Emerson, Anna, Jaxon, Caden and Mattis and her grand dog Willow Rose. To Emerson, who truly gave her love and light back to her life when she was born, their unbreakable bond was made the moment Marge laid eyes on Emerson and that moment Marjorie became Gigi, and every moment they spent Gigi cherished. Emerson was her craft expert, her waitress, her performer and was the reason she kept on going. Marge was a true philanthropist donating to St. Jude’s, Veteran non profits, Dog rescues and Native American charities and especially Shriners Hospital, most people say in lieu of flowers but Marge wanted ALL the flowers. If you do choose to make a donation in her memory please donate to Shriner’s Hospital or Urbana Maryland Volunteer Firefighters she was their most frequent call and she thought they were all good looking. Or simply an act of kindness in her memory, as tough as she was her heart was gold and let that live on. A Visitation is schedule for 10-11am on April 7 at TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, followed with a Funeral Service at 11:30am at Grace Lutheran Church in West Springfield and Burial in Springfield Street Cemetery in Agawam.
