Mark D Crean

Mark Dickinson Crean, born 5/2/65, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2024. Mark was predeceased by his parents, John Crean and Joan and Henry Pavel. He will be missed by his many siblings; Hugh Crean and his wife Anne of Victor NY, Ann Reynolds and her husband Russ of Granby MA, Norine Crean of Chester MA, John Crean of Palmer, Michael Crean of West Springfield and Jennifer Dickinson of East Longmeadow. He also leaves 14 nieces and nephews and several great nieces & nephews. As a lifelong West Springfield resident Mark graduated from West Springfield high in 1984. He then attended Johnson & Wales, graduating in 1988 with a culinary degree. He worked at Central Connecticut & Quinnipiac Colleges as well as several restaurants over his decades long career. Mark will be remembered for his gentle soul, quiet but stoic nature, his love of family and friends, and our many family gatherings. Calling hours will be at Toomey-O'Brien funeral home in West Springfield on Friday March 15th from 4-6 PM, with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a gift to The Gray House or Sister Caritas House, both in Springfield.
