Obituary
Mark D. Lynds, 71, passed away July 16, 2021. He was born Jan. 19, 1950 to the late Douglas and Patricia Lynds. Mark had a 45 year career as a registered nurse. He loved the outdoors, including biking, hiking and canoeing. He also enjoyed playing the piano and photography. Mark leaves his loving wife Marlene (DiDonato), his three daughters; Jennifer Spurlock and her husband Mark of San Diego, CA., Amanda Lynds of W. Spfld and Sheryl Holloway and her husband Ryan also of West Springfield., his five grandchildren, his brothers David Lynds of SC, Jeff Lynds of NC, and Keith Lynds of ME, his sister Cynthia Lynds of SC, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mark was also predeceased by his brother Craig Lynds. A Memorial Mass will be held THURS July 22nd at 10 AM in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 6 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., WEST SPRINGFIELD. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Mark’s name to the charity of your choice.
