Marlene Lynds

Marlene (Didonato) Lynds, 70, of Ashley Street, passed away Tuesday in West Springfield. She was born in Springfield and grew up in Agawam before settling in West Springfield 44 yrs. ago. She worked as a social worker for years at the former Providence Hospital in Holyoke. She received her BA and later Masters in Psychology at Westfield State University. Marlene was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in West Springfield. She was the beloved widow of Mark D. Lynds who passed away in 2021, loving mother of Jennifer Spurlock and her husband Mark of Escondido, CA, Amanda Lynds of West Springfield, and Sheryl Holloway and her husband Ryan of West Springfield, caring sister of Joseph Didonato and his wife Tatiana of AZ, and she leaves her 5 cherished grandchildren, who all knew her as Nana: Sophia Holloway, Grace Holloway, Michael Spurlock, Luke Spurlock, and Jackson Lynds. The calling hours will be Monday from 9 am – 11 am at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am at St. Thomas Church.
