Obituary
Mary Delores Wielgus, 92, of West Springfield passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Baystate Medical Center on March 6th, 2020. Born July 14th, 1927. She was the daughter of Hector and Catherine Frenette. She worked at K&M and was lovingly known as the “candy lady” during her 30 years as a hostess at Wendy’s. She is survived by and sadly missed by her daughter Mary Dasso and her husband Ernie of Springfield, MA, her son David Wielgus of Easthampton, MA, and her daughter Doreen Roberts of New Hampshire. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert, Jack and Larry and their wives. She is reunited in heaven with her husband Matthew Wielgus. Calling Hours will be 4 to 7PM on Tuesday March 10th at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W.SPFLD. A Funeral Service will be held WEDS 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Spfld, MA 01104
