Mary E. (Kearney) Rettie

West Springfield, Mary E. (Kearney) Rettie, 92, passed away Saturday April 23, 2016 at Noble Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Northampton, April 21, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Trainor) Kearney. Mary was a 1942 graduate of the former St Michael�s High School in Northampton. She worked at the former Stanley Home Products in Westfield and Easthampton. Mary was a communicant of St Thomas Church and volunteered at the voting polls in West Springfield for many years. She was an avid gardener and NY Yankees fan. Mary also loved vacationing along the Maine coast with family. Her beloved husband, Stanley Rettie died in 2002. Mary leaves her loving children, Stephen Rettie of Russell and Kathleen Singer and her husband Brett of Westfield, her loving grandchildren, Ian and Adrienne Singer. She also leaves several nephews and nieces and their families. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Teddy O�Neil. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 11:30 at St Thomas Church with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday at the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield from 9:30-11:00.
