Mary C. (Mcvey) Rivers

Mary Cecilia (McVey) Rivers, 78, passed away Tuesday at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was a parishioner of the former Holy Family Church in Holyoke. She worked for 10 years in the cafeteria at Elms College. Mary enjoyed bowling with her friends, spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great-grandson and was a member of the West Springfield Garden Club. Mary leaves her beloved husband of 59 years, Donald A. Rivers, Sr. She leaves her loving children, Kathleen Alevras and her husband George of W. Spfld, Donald Rivers & his wife Regina of Palmer, David Rivers of Panama City, FL and John Rivers and his wife Teri of W. Spfld., her adored grandchildren, Sarah Alevras, Kate and Mike Germain, Nicholas Alevras, Michael, Alex, Haley, Diane, Caroline, Daniel�and Joel Rivers, her great-grandson, Jackson Germain and her sisters, Arlene McVey and Margaret LaBonte. There will be a Funeral Home Service, 11AM, Friday at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld., followed by burial at St. Thomas Cemetery.
