Mary E. Moriarty of West Springfield, MA, was called home on July 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of C. Edward Sr. and Dorothy (Buckley) Guindon. She was a graduate of West Springfield High School. She worked in the nursing field for more than 20 years. Mary was a kind, loving, and charismatic spirit that would instantly light up any room. She enjoyed staying active, spending time with family and friends, and walking her dog. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, J. Kenneth Moriarty, her brother, C. Edward Guindon Jr., and her son, Kevin J. Moriarty. She leaves her daughter, Donna (Moriarty) Davis and husband Bill, her son, Kenneth J. Moriarty and wife Christine, daughter-in-law Dora (Wong) Moriarty, and sister-in-law Dorothy Guindon. She also leaves her grandchildren Chelsea, Joseph and wife Elise, Michael and wife Jennifer, Meredith, Nathan, Ethan, and Connor. As well as her cherished great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be no calling hours, but there will be a small celebration of life ceremony held at St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield on Monday, July 22nd at 11:00 for family and friends who wish to attend. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (aspca.org) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
