Mary E. (Vlasak) Fitzmaurice

West Springfield � Mary E. (Vlasak) FitzMaurice, 93, of Hillcrest Avenue passed away Tuesday, November 7th at home. She was born in Springfield on August 2nd 1924 to the late James and E. Lillian Vlasak who were long residents of West Springfield. Her grandfather Frederick Otto owned and ran Otto BoatWorks located in West Springfield. Mary also lived in West Springfield her entire life and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. She was a longtime Communicant of St. Thomas Church. She worked at the Farmers Exchange for several years until she left to be a loving mother. Later in life Mary enjoyed and shared her love of music and dance as a member of the Westside Tappers for many enjoyable years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, William F. FitzMaurice last year. Mary was the beloved mother of Mark J. FitzMaurice and his wife Ann W. and Ann E. FitzMaurice and her spouse Denise G. Souza of West Springfield, devoted grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 7. There will be a Funeral Home Service Tuesday, December 12th at 11:30 AM at TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
