Maryann Lane

Maryann E. Lane, 63, entered into eternal life on May 16, 2023 at the Inova Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia. Maryann was born in Holyoke, MA and was raised in West Springfield. After graduating from high school she worked a number of different jobs, one of her favorites was being a waitress at Friendly’s. Maryann is survived by her life partner of 27 years Greg D. Morrison of Virginia; her mother, Theresa E. Lane of West Springfield and she was predeceased by her father, John F. Lane who entered eternal life in 2014. She also leaves behind her in laws, Jaqueline and Harvey Morrison of Springfield, MA. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Diana Lane of Norton, MA; Kathy O’Brien and her husband Paul of West Springfield, MA; Ret Police Captain John (Jay) Lane and his wife Mary Lou of Placida, FL; Ret Lt Col Edward Lane and his fiancée Ale of Woodbridge, VA; Jim Lane and his wife Becky of Del Ray Beach, FL; Michael Lane and his wife Jean of Southwick, MA, Along with her Life partner Greg’s siblings, Thomas Morrison of Grass Valley, CA; Robert Morrison of Agawam, MA; Camille Morrison and her partner Ed of Providence, RI. Along with many, many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Friends are kindly invited to visit with family for calling hours on Saturday, May 27th from 9:00am to 10:30am at Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home; 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 11:00am with burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield MA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a mental health facility of your choice in Maryann’s memory.
