Maureen “Mo” Anne (Brady) Sheridan, age 72, of West Springfield and Heath, MA, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, just shy of her 73rd birthday, at Agawam South Rehab and Nursing. Maureen was born on May 8, 1952, in West Haven, CT to the late Edward and Anne (Smith) Brady. She graduated from Lauralton Hall in Milford, CT in 1970 and College of White Plains in White Plains, NY in 1974, keeping in close contact with many former classmates until her recent death. Over the years, Maureen was employed within the finance and human resources fields, retiring from Uneco Manufacturing Inc in Chicopee in 2020. Additionally, Maureen enjoyed being involved in the West Springfield community, spanning from coaching town sports teams and being active in the youth recreation softball community, to being a member of the St. Patrick's Parade Committee, where she was awarded the Jinx Powers Award in 2017. Maureen will be remembered for her generosity, sense of humor and resilience; being a social butterfly; having a sweet tooth; her love of her Irish heritage, her “happy place” in Heath, antiques, proper grammar, and Bingo; and her ability to finish her Christmas shopping months in advance. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, James Sheridan, and their cherished black Labrador, Bailey. She leaves behind her children and their families: daughter Patricia "Trish" (Ginnetti) Poulin and her husband Harley, son Michael Ginnetti and his partner Candace Teague, and “grandkiddos” Khalani, Dallas, Mimi, Naélyn and Mara. Maureen’s siblings - "The Brady Bunch" - and their families also mourn her passing: Edward, Patricia "Pat," Kathleen "Kathy" and her husband Larry Carboni, Kevin and his wife Karen, and nieces and nephew, Shannon Carboni, Lauren Carboni, Kayla Brady, and Ryan Brady. For many years Maureen was loved and cared for by her stepchildren and their families: Christine (Larry) Sheridan, Lori (Cesar) Ramirez, Pamela (John) Franco, Erin (Scott) Rogers, and Daniel (Jennifer) Sheridan, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maureen's family extends their appreciation to the nurses and staff at Agawam South Rehab and Nursing and Fallon Elder Care for their care. In heaven, Maureen will be reunited with her beloved children, James “Jimmy” Edward and Susan Brady Ginnetti, her parents, and many close friends. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 11am at Toomey O'Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St, West Springfield, MA 01089. A calling hour will proceed the service. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the West Springfield St Patrick's Parade Committee, P.O. Box 203, West Springfield, MA 01090-0203 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
