Obituary
Michael D. Desrosiers, 68, passed away Sunday at Mercy Hospital. He was born August 13, 1952 to Marjorie (Manchester) and the late Louis Desrosiers. He graduated from Cathedral High School and attended Westfield State College. Mike worked for over 40 years at the former Longview Fibre Company. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local N3. Mike was very active in the community. He served as President of the WS Parish and Inter faith Assn., and served as the Director of the Ecumenical Outreach Organization, a member of the West Spfld. Lions Club and Knights of Columbus #2212. Mike loved to travel to Mexico with his wife. He enjoyed anything to do with his family, especially his grandchildren. Besides his mother Marjorie Derosiers of W. Spfld., he leaves his loving wife Rose (Kostopolus), he leaves his children; Sarah Cizek and her husband David of Agawam, Michael Desrosiers Jr, and his wife Ashley of Ware and Jason Desrosiers and his wife Amber of W. Spfld, his grandchildren; Jocelyn, Leah, Autumn, Samantha, Sophia and Deryk, his sister Lynn Bresnahan of Agawam along with several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held THURS Sept.10th at 10 AM in St. Thomas Church, Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held WED Sept.9th from 4 to 7 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ecumenical Outreach Organization, c/o Carol Goulet, 40 Prince Ave., W. Spfld, MA 01089 or to the St. Thomas School, Education Fund, 75 Pine St., W. Spfld, MA 01089.
