Michael A. Nowill

Michael Albert Nowill, 63, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Springfield. He leaves his wife of 35 years, LuAnn (Okolo); sons, Michael and Bryan; daughter-in-law Tanya; grandchild Brynn; brother Donald; sister Carlene; and many close friends and family. Born and raised in West Springfield, the son of Warren and Anita (Petrin). They met as neighbors and they were married in 1981. Michael graduated from West Springfield High School and Springfield College with a degree in Physical Education. He spent his career working for HP Hood in their Suffield, CT location holding numerous positions over the years. He retired from HP Hood in 2009 as a supervisor in robotics. Michael enjoyed golfing at various courses around the area and playing in different tournaments. In the warmer months he enjoyed spending time in his corvette with his wife. In the winter he enjoyed spending time on the beaches of Aruba. Throughout high school he was involved in soccer and hockey which he continued later in life by coaching his sons in youth sports. He always looked forward to spoiling his granddaughter. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4-6PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
