Michael S. Snopek

West Springfield, Michael S Snopek, 56, quickly passed away Friday November 18, 2016 in his home surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with brain cancer. Born in Holyoke, November 30, 1959, he was the son of the late Stanley and Jacqueline (Bibeau) Snopek. Michael was a graduate of South Hadley High School and worked for the Mass Turnpike for over 20 years and also for Peabody Properties for 11 years. Michael loved gardening, going to Old Orchard Beach, and the NY Jets. He leaves his wife of 13 years, Sylvia (Torkington) Snopek, his children, Kevin Snopek of Holyoke, Samantha Snopek of Holyoke, Annmarie Civetti of Stafford Springs, CT and Stephanie O�Dell of Wilbraham, his siblings, Hazel Snopek of South Hadley and Paul Snopek of Hampden, 10 grandchildren and his beloved pets, Allie and Digger. Calling hours will be on November 26th from 9am to 11am at Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with services immediately following at 11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Research or the TJ O�Connor Animal Shelter.
