Nancy M. (Bowman) Demateis, 73, passed away June 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, February 11, 1949, she was the daughter of the late James and Barbara (Cosgrove) Bowman. Nancy worked for the Disney Company for over 20 years in various positions in human resources. She loved to help others in any way she was able and had a deep love for her family including her grandchildren. She leaves her loving children, David LaChapelle and his wife Wendy of St. Petersburg, FL and Jill Yanginski and her husband Scott of West Springfield, her loving grandchildren, Jackson, Helen, Margaret, Steven, Connor, Nicholas and David, and her former husband, Craig LaChapelle. Calling hours will be held Friday, June 17, 2022, from 4 - 6 PM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with a Funeral Home Service at 6 PM.
