With overwhelming sadness, the family of Neely Marie Murray, 25, of West Springfield announce her unexpected passing on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022. Neely was born on February 17, 1997 in Springfield and graduated from West Springfield High School and attended Holyoke Community College. Neely worked at Prosper Assisted Living in West Springfield, where she was loved by all her co-workers and the residents. They all treated her like family. Both coworkers and the residents called her a “Ray of sunshine” and claimed she was like an angel. She was always so helpful and just wanted to make everyone around her happy. Neely was a beautiful unique soul. She was an aspiring artist, with such a vibrant, creative mind. She brought so much joy to everyone through her amazing artwork. Neely enjoyed music, video games, camping, and the beach. Most of all, she enjoyed snuggling her precious dog Chance and taking him on long walks in the neighborhood. Neely was a warm, gentle, innocent, kind hearted human who had a love for nature and animals. Neely accepted everyone for who they were.
She loved to be silly and joke around. She was so much fun to be around and her laugh was infectious. She was loved by all beyond words. Neely’s friends and family were an important part of her life. She was a proud aunt to all her nieces and nephews, especially devoted to Samuel and Alexis Phelan and Clyde and Natalie Spaeth. Neely was the loving daughter of Deborah (Suares) and Andrew T. Murray Sr. of West Springfield, beloved sister of eight siblings; sisters Cheryl Spaeth and her husband Gary, Darlene Phelan and her husband William, and brothers Ishy, Brendan, Carlos, Luis and Michael. She was predeceased by her brother Andrew T. Murray, Jr. Neely also leaves many close friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Neely was always so sweet and thoughtful. She touched everyone she met. She was and always will be loved, and will be deeply missed by all knew and loved her. Neely will forever be in our hearts and lives. “Forever Memories”
