Obituary
Nelson “Skip” Paige, 88 passed away Wednesday May 13 at Care One Redstone in E. Longmeadow. Born in Springfield, October 18, 1931 he was the son of the late Nelson M. and Grace L. (Smith) Paige. Skip was a graduate of the West Springfield High School and served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War. He worked as a realtor for 25 years including the George and Green Real Estate Company before retiring in 1997. He was a former communicant of St. Anthony Maronite Church where he was very active, a member of the Springfield Board of Realtors, a member of the American Legion in West Springfield and the West Springfield Senior Center. His beloved wife, Josephine M. (Green) Paige died in 2002. He leaves his loving second wife, Pauline (LaFlamme) Paige, his beloved children, Sandra Meacham of Summerville, SC., Laura Ann Barker of West Springfield and Lynn Ann Dehneh of Chicopee, beloved brother, Lawrence E. of North Carolina, beloved grandchildren, Shawn, George, Sandi, Anthony, Nicholas and Zahra, his loving great grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Morgan and Amarah. A private service will be held with burial in the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
