, Nicla (Peccerini) Panetta, 94, passed away July 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Livorno, Italy, December 26, 1927, to the late Tito and Evelyn (Tognaccini) Peccerini. Nicla worked as a seamstress for the former Bottaro/Skolnik Company for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Springfield. She leaves her beloved husband of 76 years, Frank R. Panetta, her loving children, Maurice of West Springfield and Tina Douillard and her husband Don of Springfield, her loving grandchildren, Frank, William, Robert and George, her beloved great grandchildren, Delaney, Emilee, Brandon, Breanne and Ethan. She was predeceased by her daughters, Judy Roberts and Beatrice Brown. Nicla’s funeral mass will be Monday at 9:30AM from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 123 William St. Springfield with burial to follow in the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4PM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield.
