Nicola R. Trolio

Agawam -Nicola �Nick� R. Trolio, 67, passed away on December 26, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 16, 1947 in Castelmauro, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Emilia Trolio. He enjoyed a long successful career with Baystate Gas Company and retired in 2006. Nick was a kind and loving husband, father and man. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his animals, riding his tractor and spending time with his family and friends. He leaves his beloved wife of 48 years, Maria (Carosella) Trolio, three loving children, Antonio Trolio of Springfield, MA, Gloria Axiotis of Ludlow, MA, Daniel Trolio and his wife Carla of West Hartford, CT, two grandsons, Luca and Dominic Trolio of West Hartford, CT, his siblings, Rafaele Trolio and his wife Nunziata of Belgium, Angelo Trolio and his wife Emelia of Castelmauro, Italy, Mario Trolio and his wife Teresa of Feeding Hills, MA, Teresa Larocca and her husband Ralph of Westbrook, CT, John Trolio and his wife Cora of Hampden, MA, Maria Manes and her husband Luciano of Feeding Hills, MA, Lia Cicchetti and her husband Guiseppe of Feeding Hills, MA, Joe Trolio and his wife Linda of Wale, MA, a sister-in-law Giusepina Carosella and her husband Nicola of Castelmauro, Italy and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday 9AM at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church in Agawam. The burial will follow at Springfield St. Cemetery, Feeding Hills. Calling hours will be Friday at the funeral home from 4-7PM.
