Obituary
Norman J. Theriault, 95, passed away January 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicopee, July 11, 1924, he was the son of the late Ernest and Laura (LaBonte) Theriault. Norman worked for Western Mass Electric Co. for 31 years retiring in 1986 as a foreman. He was a Marine Corps veteran serving in the Asiatic Theatre during WWII. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. He loved bowling, fishing, winning at cards and enjoyed spending time at his cottage in E. Otis. Norman was also an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. His beloved wife Helen (Wellspeak) passed away in 2008. He leaves his loving children, John and his wife Lisa of Otis, Terry Shea and her husband John of Agawam, Denise Orszulak and her husband Michael of Saratoga, NY and David and his wife Terry of Southampton, his loving grandchildren, Eric, Laurie, Jarrod, Brandon and Tiffany, and his very special great grandchildren, Tyler, Ava, Brody, Connor, Claire, Bennett and McKenna and his friend, Nancy. Calling hours will be held Tuesday January 21st from 9:30-10:30am at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield followed by a Mass at St. Thomas Church at 11am with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Spectrum Hospice Care 770 Converse St. Longmeadow, MA. 01106.
