West Springfield � Olive (Kahrman) Robinson died on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the age of 91. Born in Warwick, RI, on February 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Vernon and Bessie (Hart) Kahrman. She was a resident of West Springfield since 1928. Her husband Alba Harold Robinson died in 1990. Olive leaves her devoted son, Ronald and his wife Cynthia of South Hadley, grandson, Brett and his wife Kimberly and great-grandchildren, Emma and Abbey all of Windsor Locks. She also leaves a very caring niece Virginia Keddy of East Longmeadow, and nephew Glen Kahrman of Harahan, LA. Both provided help and support that was greatly appreciated and will always be remembered. In addition Olive leaves nephews, Neil Kahrman of Saco, ME and James Robinson of Naugatuck, CT, a niece Lisa Robinson of Westfield along with several great nieces and nephews. Olive was a longtime caregiver for her mother and continued as a home health worker for many years. She loved the colder weather and in her early years, she enjoyed ice skating on Fossa�s Pond. She also enjoyed sewing making clothes and stuffed toys. In their later years, she and her husband Al enjoyed camping in their trailer, first travelling around New England and then eventually finding a campground they both loved in Vermont. She had a special place in her heart for animals and almost always had a cat or dog in her life, either her own ones that would just come to visit. Olive loved music and played piano extremely well without ever having had a lesson. She had a very special relationship with her grandson Brett, who lived with her for several years. She was a devoted aunt and was considered a second mother by her niece and nephews. The funeral for Olive will be held on Thursday, May 7th at Noon at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN Funeral Home in West Springfield. A calling hour will precede the service from 11-Noon.
