Patricia S. Daley

Patricia Sheila (O’Grady) Daley, 86, of Elizabeth Avenue passed away Sunday (12/18) at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on December 6, 1937 in Springfield to the late Eleanor (Broughton) and Charles O’Grady. She lived most of her life in Westfield. Patricia worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and spent her entire career in labor and delivery. She helped deliver thousands of babies over the years and she retired from Hartford General Hospital. She received her B.S. in Nursing from American International College in Springfield. Patricia loved crafts of all kinds, especially quilting, and belonged to several quilting guilds. She was formerly married to the late Daniel H. Daley (1998), beloved mother of Kathleen Abreu of Maine, Daniel Daley and his longtime companion Theresa Vogel of Chicopee, Mary Beth Kennedy and her husband Gregg of Westfield, Maureen Thiel and her husband Doug of Somers, CT, Terrance Daley and his wife April of Huntington, and Sean Daley and his wife Susan of Boston, caring sister of Kevin O’Grady and his wife Elvira of Springfield, Michael O’Grady and his wife Shelley of Springfield, and Chris O’Grady and his wife Allison of Florida, devoted grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 14. There will be a Calling hour Friday from 12 – 1 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld. There will be a Funeral Home Service at 1 PM at the funeral home followed by a burial at St. Thomas Cemetery.
