Obituary
Patricia (O’Neill) Martin passed away at home unexpectedly on August 6, 2020. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 25, 1946 to the late John O’Neill and Eleanor (Cooley) Malaguti. She grew up in Springfield and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She lived there most of her life before moving to West Springfield in 1977. She worked for the Sacred Heart rectory in Feeding Hills and was later employed for many years at The Main Office in Springfield. Pat, which she preferred to be called, was a kind-hearted, selfless woman who would do anything for her family and friends. Cooking was a passion of hers. Everyone loved her lasagna, chicken wings, and especially her baked beans that were a must have favorite at every family gathering. Pat was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, George H. Martin. She is survived by her son, Michael J. Martin and girlfriend, Kristie Haile of Westfield. Her daughter, Aimee M. Martin and boyfriend, Angel L. Morales of West Springfield. Her two beloved grandchildren, Tyler Dubay-Martin of Chicopee and Madison Martin-Morales of West Springfield. Her brother, John F. O’Neill and wife, Betty of Chicopee and several nieces and nephews. A service and burial (TBD) will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. All arrangements are being handled by Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home.
