Westfield-It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Petro M. Marmura, who peacefully left us at 7 a.m. on February 23, 2025, at Baystate Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Petro was born on July 12, 1964, in Dniprodzerzhinsk, Ukraine, to Mikhail and his loving mother, Yekaterina Marmura of Springfield. After graduating from College №23, he began his career as a railroad ticket inspector in Ukraine. Following his move to the United States, Petro dedicated himself as a Personal Care Attendant, offering kindness and compassion to all those he cared for. He had a deep passion for antiques and was known for his broad interests and generous heart. Petro is survived by his beloved wife Olga Marmura; his son, Yevgeniy Marmura; his daughter, Lyudmila Marmura; son-in-law, Oleksandr Kheilyk; granddaughters, Anastasia and Daria, all of Westfield; and his brother Ihor Marmura of Springfield. Visitation at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home on Friday, March 7 at 10am followed a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will be at Agawam Center Cemetery, located at 820 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001 at 10am on March 22, 2025..
