Obituary
Raoul L. Sands, 92, passed away Sunday February 21, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Springfield, September 20, 1928, the son of the late Fred and Ethel (Biggs) Sands. Raoul worked for the former Third National Bank in Springfield retiring as a Vice President from the Bank of New England after 43 years of service in 1991. He was a graduate of Agawam High School class of 1946 and a US Army veteran during the Korean War. Raoul volunteered at the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for many years and was the Board President of the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club along with being very active with many other groups and charities. Raoul was a very kind and loving person who loved to help others. He leaves his beloved wife, Pricilla L. (Fairbanks) Sands, his beloved children, Daniel Goff of Chicopee, Barbara Leblanc and her husband Steven of Wareham and Sandra Goff, his loving grandchildren, Lisa, Kelly, Megan, Samantha, Benjamin and Jason, his loving great grandchildren, Riley, Everly and Emerson, several nieces and nephews. All services are private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club 615 Main St. West Springfield, MA. 01089.
