Obituary
Raymond “Ray” J. Fahey, 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 19, 2022. He was born in Springfield to the late Joseph and Elsie (St. Pierre) Fahey. Ray graduated from Springfield Technical Community College and proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He went to work for the phone company as a line repairman for over 30 years. After retirement, he went to work for Skip’s Outdoor Accents. Ray enjoyed volleyball, horseshoes and was a master at Cornhole. He also enjoyed his daily breakfasts at the Main Street Grill in Agawam. Ray was predeceased by his wife Ghislaine (Willett) Fahey in 2002 and his daughter Theresa Fahey in 2019. He leaves his longtime partner Janet McDonald, his loving daughters; Lisa M. Fahey of W. Spfld and Lynne A. Holloway and her husband Christopher of Agawam, his grandson Max Holloway. Ray also leaves his sisters; Patricia Toulouse and partner Ray Hiltpold, Nancy Jawitz, Sandra Pyne and husband Douglas and was predeceased by his sister Donna Baxter and husband Lawrence. He also leaves brothers and sisters-in-law from the Willett family as well as many nieces and nephews from both sides. Funeral Services will be held MONDAY 8:45 AM from the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., followed by a 10 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Kings Hwy. Calling Hours will be held SUNDAY from 2 to 5 PM.
