Obituary
Raymond J. Prokop, 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on March 6, 2021. Ray was born on June 12, 1943, son to the late Joseph and Helen (Rozenbajgier) Prokop. He was raised and educated in Ludlow and was a graduate of Ludlow High School. Raymond and his wife Diane were the proud owners of Janik Sausage until his retirement in 2010. After retirement, Ray worked security for the Eastern States Exposition. To cherish his memory, Ray leaves his beloved wife of 53 years, Diane (Benoit) Prokop, their children, Christine Ziemba and her husband Derrick of Suffield and Michael Prokop of West Springfield, his beloved grandchildren, Emma Rose and Jack, his beloved sister, Carol Mercure and was predeceased by his brother Mark Prokop. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors. Ray was a hard worker whose family and grandchildren were his world. A private graveside service was held at St. Thomas Cemetery.
