West Springfield -Richard Harold Dasso, 53, the loving husband of Pamela N. O�Donnell-Dasso and devoted father of Gabriella R. �Gabby� Dasso passed away suddenly on Friday at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Richard, born in Springfield, MA, resided on Rogers Avenue in West Springfield. Richard�s greatest passion in life was his wife and daughter who he cherished most. Richard�s zest for life, natural charm, and humor in life situations, endeared him to all. He enjoyed running and ran in many road races. He was an avid cook and enjoyed spending time working in his yard, which was always meticulous. He had a great love for all animals, but was especially fond of his two cats, Tigger and Tanner. Touching the lives of many, Richard was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Richard worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Route Carrier. Prior to that he spent many years in the automobile industry. Richard attended high school in Springfield, MA and earned a degree from Westfield State College. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Richard was the beloved son of Robert Dasso and Nancy (Hodge) Dasso, caring brother of Robert A. Dasso and his wife Sheryl Blais of Westhampton, Laurie D. Butler and her husband Peter of Monson, Susan M. Chamberlain and her husband Mark of Hampden, Faith M. Lemay and her husband Keith and Maryellen Machia and her husband Brian of Wilbraham. Richard also leaves his mother-in-law, Patricia M. Grassetti and several nieces, nephews and close friends. The calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday 11 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gabriella R.
