Richard P Wozny

Richard Paul Wozny, 83 of Agawam, MA passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at
Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 12, 1941 to
the late Rudolph and Anna (Belak) Wozny of Baden, PA. Shortly after graduating high school
Richard honorably served his country in the US Air Force from 1960-65. Richard worked in the
food industry for the next 54 years and became a master meat cutter. He enjoyed attending all
family gatherings. His hobbies were working on cars and fixing them and hanging out with his
buddies on Friday night card games. Richard was a sports fan and enjoyed watching basketball,
soccer, football he was especially a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan win or lose. Richard is
survived by his daughters Tina LaMountain (Russell Cyr) of Westfield and Christine Wozny of
West Springfield, his grandchildren Daniel, Sabrina, Christopher, Jeremy, Justin and Alex his
great grandchildren Miranda, Alexandra, Marissa, Tyler, Hannah and Anthony. He also leaves
his former wife and father of his children Erna Wozny of West Springfield. He is preceded in
death by his daughter Cindy Wozny of West Springfield, grandson Jason LaMountain of
Westfield, brother Robert Wozny of Colorado, sister Donna Williams of Baden, PA. Richard will
be missed by all those who loved him but they are comforted knowing he is at peace. We will
always carry your memory in our hearts. In respect to Richards final wishes there will be no
services. There will be a private burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in
Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation in Richard’s name to the
charity of your choice.
