Obituary
Richard T. Wright, 65, passed away Sat July 24, 2021. He was born in Springfield, MA on Jan. 2, 1956 to the late Richard and Carol Wright. Richard graduated from UMASS with a BA in Education and taught in the Special Education Department in the Amherst School System. He enjoyed computers, bowling, NASCAR and going to the Barrett-Jackson car auctions. Richard leaves his loving wife Carol (Blair), his three step daughters; Marilyn Thomlinson and her wife Stacy of West Springfield, Tamara Thomlinson of Ludlow and Chrystal Smart of Westfield, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother David Wright of the Philippines along with several adopted children. Calling Hours will be held MON from 4 to 6 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD. There are NO Funeral Services and Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Richard’s name to the Shriner’s Hospital For Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104
