Rita D. (Castonguay) Manchino

Rita D. (Castonguay) Manchino, 94, died September 24, 2015 at the Governor�s Center in Westfield after a brief illness. Born in Springfield, she was the eighth of nine children, who all predeceased her; Blanche Tesny, Imelda Laramee, Rose Klepach, Raymond Castonguay, Raoul �Woodsie� Castonguay, Wilfred �Frenchy� Castonguay, Henry Castonguay and Joseph �Midi� Castonguay. She has resided in West Springfield since marrying her late husband, Robert A. Manchino, where they raised three children. She was an avid seamstress who enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Louise and her husband Richard Flak, Suzanne and her husband Fred Krug all of West Springfield and Michael and his partner Peng Huang of Los Angeles, CA. In addition to her children she leaves behind seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-one years in 2006 and by four great-grandchildren. A private graveside service was held at St. Thomas Cemetery.
