Rita L. (Clarke) Labranche

West Springfield -Rita (Clarke) LaBranche of West Springfield passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She was born in Springfield on August 16,1922, daughter of the late Patrick Clarke and Phyllisia Broas, one of eight children. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1939. Rita worked at the Springfield Armory during World War II, Production Tool and Die and Diamond Match Co of Springfield. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and reading. Rita was a long time avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip A. LaBranche Sr. and her son, Philip A. LaBranche Jr. She is survived by her three children, Patricia and her husband Donald Teres of Easthampton, Mark LaBranche of Suffield, CT and Therese McGuigan of West Springfield, with whom she resided with, eight grandchildren, Andrew LaBranche, III of Agawam, Mark Allen, Daniel and Joshua LaBranche of Fall River, Justin Teres of New York, Kevin Teres of Arizona, Nathan Teres of California and Patrick McGuigan and his wife of West Springfield and six great-grandchildren. All services are private and Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
