Rita C. (Hasenjager) Berthiaume

Rita Clara (Hasenjager) Berthiaume, 91, of Cooper Street passed away Wed. at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was born on June 15th, 1924 in Springfield and has lived in this area most of her life. She worked for years for Kelly Services as a secretary at various local firms. She also worked for F.L. Roberts for numerous years at various locations. After that Rita worked at the West Springfield Senior Center for several years. She was a devoted member of the St. John�s Lutheran Church in Westfield. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Berthiaume and her two beloved children Paul and Robert Berthiaume. She was the devoted mother of Laurie Courtney-Charest and her husband Gilles Charest of Westfield, caring sister of Phyllis Alvord and the late Charlotte Matthess, and cherished grandmother of Shawn Courtney. The Funeral Home Service is Monday at 12 Noon at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Burial will follow at the Paucatuck Cemetery in West Spfld. There will be a calling hour from 11 AM-12 Noon preceding the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in Rita�s name may be made to the St. John�s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
