Obituary
Rita Marie (LeBeau) Mutti, 92, formerly of Calvin Circle, West Springfield passed away Monday at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. She was born in West Springfield on May11, 1927 to the late Omer and Anna (Chastenay) LeBeau. Rita lived most of her life in West Springfield. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but worked for several years as a switchboard operator at the former Ferrara Spring and Parts Company. She was a communicant and choir member of St. Anthony of Padua Church formerly of Agawam. She was a longtime member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society of Agawam and West Springfield. Rita was an avid fan of country western music. She was the beloved widow of Alfred Mutti who passed away in 2006, loving mother of Al Mutti and his wife Vicki of Springfield and Sharon Tower and her husband Gerry of Longmeadow, caring sister of Joseph LeBeau of CT and Lorraine Champagne of West Springfield, devoted grandmother of Anthony, Nathan, Jeremy, Matthew and Timothy Mutti and David and Lauren Tower, and great grandmother of 15. Rita also leaves several nieces and nephews. The calling hours will be Wed. from 4-7 pm at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld. The funeral will be Thurs. 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am at Mary Mother of Hope Church, Springfield. There will be an entombment to follow at St. Michael’s Mausoleum in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Western Mass., 264 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104-3274.
