Robert E Benoit

Robert E. Benoit, 94, passed away Friday August 11, 2023. Born in Holyoke, September 29, 1928, the son of the late George and Anna (Vachon) Benoit. Robert was a self employed pharmacist his entire life. He owned and operated the former Cleveland and Greniers Pharmacies in Holyoke and the Southwick Pharmacy and Southwick Package Store. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. His beloved wife, Lyle (Neddo) Benoit passed away in February of 2023. He leaves his children, David (Diane) Benoit of Ashland, Chuck (Jeannine) Benoit of Wilmington, NC, Robert Benoit of Westfield, Daniel (Carol) of Benardston, Anne Depelteau of Chicopee, Louise Benoit (Pam Liebro) of Westfield and Jeannie Bonnett of Springfield, his stepchildren, Debbie (Dan) Carroll of West Springfield, Bruce (Nancy) Demers of Bradford, VT, Cheryl Pappas of West Springfield, Ryan Eastman of Bernardston and Craig Demers of Springfield, 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 11:30am from St. Thomas Church with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. A calling hour will be Wednesday from 10-11am at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield.
