Robert W. Bozenhard, Jr.

West Springfield � Robert W. Bozenhard, Jr. (�Bob, �Bompa�) passed away from his wonderful life early on Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Springfield. Robert was born on August 26, 1934, in Springfield to the late Ruth and Robert W. Bozenhard, Sr. He resided in West Springfield his entire life. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Hazard. After high school Robert attended Tufts University and Boston University Law School. After achieving his licensure in 1960, he practiced law for 55 years. He partnered with Mary Socha and John Ely at their West Springfield office. What defined Robert were his love of family and friends and his love of sports. His beloved wife Barbara passed away in 2005 just months before their 50th wedding anniversary. He also was predeceased by his sister Grace Koehler and her husband Paul. Left to cherish his memories are his girlfriend of several years Margaret Sullivan of Springfield; his daughter Lynn Maxwell, and son William Bozenhard (LeAnn) both of Melbourne, FL; daughter Laurie Moller (Jeff) of Agawam; his grandchildren, Rebecca Whitt (Steven), David Pagliaro (Heather), Brian Jennings (Christine), Megan Quinn (Kevin), Andrea Kennedy (Kyle), Sandra Duval (Robert); sister-in-law, Sandra Juusola (Roy), and brother-in-law, James Hazard (Melodie); 8 nieces and nephews and 10 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his lifelong friend, Frank Palmer. Robert was a passionate Red Sox, Patriots and UMass fan. He was a longtime member of the Springfield Country Club. He made friends wherever he went. His sincere and generous heart blessed everyone he encountered. His quick wit and deep love will be missed by family and friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld. Private burial service will be Thursday at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one�s choice.
